Daniel Clarke was born in England but grew up in New Zealand. When he came to Hong Kong, it was supposed to be the beginning of a world trip, but he got a foot in the door for TV work, and the rest, as they say, is history.
We moved into our current house just under four years ago but I’ve lived on Lamma for around 20 years. Initially, I wanted to experience the ‘Big city lifestyle’, but I eventually chose to move to Lamma as I progressed in my career and needed more work/life balance.
I’d like to stay but it’s always good to have a backup plan. At the moment that would probably be Thailand.
It’s the best of both worlds; real countryside and nature with easy access to high-tech world city resources at a moment’s notice.
Lamma Art Centre has classes, exhibitions, and all kinds of creative events.
The Beershack has great community – games, music, quizzes and people.
It’s not as far you think. I can commute to Wanchai in about an hour door to door.
