It’s 2055 and a group of extraordinary young people from around the world, the ‘Crystal Children’, come together to confront the consequences of climate change. Knowing that the fate of the planet rests in their hands, the bold protagonists arm themselves with a shared determination to coexist harmoniously with nature. So goes the plot of Gen Last, a story of empowerment and optimism and the latest musical written and directed by HK Youth Arts Founder founder Lindsey McAlister, and co-presented and co-produced by WestK and the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation. Gen Last features a talented cast of young Hong Kong performers aged 7–25 and premieres this November at Freespace.
Runs for approximately 1 hr 30 mins. 7–9 November 2024 (Thursday to Saturday) at The Box, Freespace, West Kowloon. Tickets available from 24 September at 10 am via www.westk.hk/en.
